~ First Annual ROCK for RATNA! Benefit
Concert ~
ROCK
for RATNA! began with its First Annual
Benefit Concert Thursday July 10th,
2008. This benefit
featured acoustic performances by local and
national musicians Carey Colvin, Ibby
Cline, and Lee Johnson in the intimate setting of the
Rock &
Soul Café at 5290 Arapahoe Ave., Ste. I in
Boulder. Tickets were $25 - $30. A lovely
time was had by all with good attendance for an
inaugural benefit event! Net proceeds from this event
went directly to expanding services for Ratna’s
clients.
Carey Colvin’s music is a dash of blues,
rock-edged pop, and pop-influenced contemporary
folk. She received the 2000 Wammie™ Award for Debut Recording of
the Year, The Distance Wall. Carey has been a featured performer on
stages around the U.S, and has opened for many
acts, including CPR (Crosby, Pevar, and Raymond)
and Styx. She’s been a featured artist on radio
stations nationwide.

Ibby Cline is a folk rock 'n roll
singer, songwriter, and professional musician
who calls the mountains Southwest of Boulder
home. Her sound is solid guitar driven
folk rock & roll that is straight from the
heart. She has toured and performed
nationally, and is currently
writing, rewriting, refining, and demo-ing tracks
for her debut CD.

Lee Johnson’s music has many influences:
country, country rock, blues, bluegrass,
Americana, folk, and swing. It is an
irresistible recipe seasoned with an energetic,
soulful Colorado sound. Lee is currently
playing solo acoustic guitar, songwriting, and
pitching songs for artists in Nashville.
